Visit to Printing Press
The students of the 1st semester visited Param Offset, a printing press situated at Okhla Industrial area with faculty members on 11 Nov 2009 The session started with a little brief given by a staff member and owner of the press about the functioning of different printing technologies. Later the students had a hand on experience of working of a press. The visit was a fruitful experience for the students to gain practical insight of printing process.
Visit to Delhi Haat
On 21st and 22nd of April, the 1st year students visited Delhi Haat under the supervision of Prof. Majgaonkar. The students went for an outdoor still photography exercise. Under the excellent guidance of Prof. Majgaonkar, the students captured numerous pictures. The practical application of the theory learnt in the class, resulted in many beautiful, creative photographs later displayed in a photography exhibition organized in the institute. The students not only got the opportunity to observe and capture but also learnt how to time their photos. They experimented with subjects and frames and the net result was a beautiful exhibition.
"Persistence - Resistance 2010"
The students of second year enjoyed the third edition of Persistence Resistance 2010: a festival of contemporary political films which was held at India International Centre, from 25th to 27th February 2010. The three fold objective of the film festival was to showcase the very diverse range of form and content of contemporary films, to locate multiple screening and viewing practices and to think through the term 'political' and include under its purview films that deal with nuanced subject and content matter, films on arts and aesthetics and films that are simply entertaining.
Broadcasting Engineering Society Expo - 2010
The students of IV semester visited the Broadcasting Engineering Society Expo 2010 under the supervision of internal faculty. The expo displayed total broadcasting solution and latest technological equipments. Under the wishful supervision of the engineers at the expo, the students operated various equipments. It was a great learning experience for the students which helped them understand the importance of the emerging convergence.
