Radio MBICEM
The emphasis in third semester is more on radio journalism, so MBICEM thought that this is the right time to provide them some exposure to the techniques and skills needed to become radio journalist & Jockey. Keeping aforesaid objectives in mind, we started in house, online radio broadcast of 30 minutes duration five years back but this year the time duration was increased to 40 minutes. During lunch hours i.e. between 12 noon to 12.45am Radio MBICEM is broadcasted. This year also students not only participated in broadcasting news but they went on air and presented live music based programmes, where they played on demand popular music of Hindi and English films. A new programme was started MBICEM archives in which different radio programmes produced by the previous batches were broadcasted.
Radio MBICEM, now popularly known as 'The Voice of MBICEM', is an initiative which aims at enhancing the practical knowledge of the students who are taught how to produce programmes for a radio channel and understand various aspects of writing for radio and effective speech mechanism. Students are also given practical exposure on how a radio station operates.
